Me, Myself, and I

Who I am

Hi everyone, well if you don’t know me, I don’t know why you are looking at this web page. Anyways, my name is Patrick Wilber and I am currently a student at Concordia University, although not for much longer (I graduate May 10, 2003). I am going to college to become a Director of Christian Education. After graduation I will be going on an internship for one year, and then hopefully receive a call to a congregation.

My passion in life is serving my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in all that I am and all that I do. It is only in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus that I can find any lasting hope. Too often today people search for hope in money, popularity, sex, drugs, etc., the Bible is correct when it says that “all these will pass away.” In a world where nations and people rise and fall, it is wonderful to know that I have a personal relationship with the one who “hung the starts in the sky.”

My other joys in life are spending time with people, watching sports (Hookem Horns), listening to music, singing, talking to people on line, and writing poems and short stories.

My Long Term Goals:

  • Serve God by serving those around me
  • To be happy in all that I do
  • To become a DCE
  • To have a poem or story published
  • To own a small business

Why I am at Concordia:

I am at Concordia University because, when I have always been extremely impressed by the people at this campus. While Concordia is far from perfect, there is truly something special taking place at this campus. There are other reasons I am here at Concordia:

  • The laptops for every student on campus (they were gone by my Senior year)
  • The new dorm for all on campus students (I lived there only one semester)
  • The Beto Academic building which was to open my sophomore year (It didn’t open until spring of my Senior year, and I never had a class in it)
